My "Raku" series incorporates my love of raku pottery, my fascination of Japanese Kanji characters, and my passion in woodworking.  I use acrylic texture that resembles raku pottery; thin pieces of wood to form parts of Kanji characters or architectural features; and acrylic mediums that look like colored glass (somewhat like a colored bottle).  The blue in this is gorgeous.  This painting is on 36” x 48” x 1.50" canvas-wrapped deep-cradled birch panel - much sturdier than regular canvas with extra wood supports, and of course weighs more. This type of wood canvas has great edges and does not need to be framed.  It is wired and ready to hang.  $2100
